Our Homeschool

My children's lives have been transformed through our homeschool journey.  I hope that our story will motivate, inspire, and encourage parent(s) who've made the very tough decision to homeschool their children.

It's been more than four years since I found the courage to reclaim my role as a full-time educator to my children.  I believed that if I:  created a safe environment, where they could be nurtured, healed, and restored to the individuals they were truly meant to be, the rest would work itself out in time.  I'm so very pleased to state without any reservation,  that the last four years have been time well spent.

The unintended outcome of the labor of love that I embarked on as a parent, evolved into a lifestyle that's unparalleled to our experiences in the public school system.   Our journey changed from many hours of uncertainty to days and weeks of exploration, research, confidence-building exercises, and community support and socialization.   Not only have my children grown in stature but have matured into responsible, intellectual, well-rounded young people.

It was true: If I created a safe space, eliminated "levels" and just allowed them the opportunity to master the skills they were unable to comprehend under their previous public school educators, I would see grow and changes.  The results have been amazing.

The untold truth and best-kept secret to homeschooling is the lifestyle.  Embracing flexibility and forging your own path to develop the type of student who can compete in a global economy is key to your homeschooling success.
